  • Provide customer support or assistance with more complex work, troubleshooting basic hardware and software problems. Serve as technical support contact for systems of limited to moderate complexity, and support of a small number of systems of higher complexity. Maintain security protocols according to HIPAA regulations. Troubleshoot analog phone systems at multiple facilities in the eastern region. Install network equipment including Cat5e and conduit as needed to support staff. Configure and install Cisco Catalyst switches as needed to maintain network connectivity. Assist in the evaluation of prospective software products and submit recommendations to purchasing personnel.
  • Present information in a variety of ways to assist users with understanding state systems. Configure and maintain server systems by applying security patches and upgrades. Provide customer support or assistance with more complex work. Troubleshoot basic to moderate hardware and software problems.
  • Designed, built, and maintained a small application for a local psychiatric center that would alert key individuals of the center’s current diversion status. This HTML application (HTA), written in VBscript, would time stamp the message and log the user who initiated the message which greatly reduced the amount of errors sent to the distribution groups. Later this HTA was used as a template to design other automated mailers for various other autonomous tasks. Various enhancements included: Automatic reply redirects, message preview panes, and accidental send prevention.
